Description

"What is the meaning of it all, Holmes?"

"It is murder, Watson..."

A gnarled walking-stick; a missing boot; a neglected family portrait; a convicted killer on the loose - and the ancestral curse of a phantom Hound... The great detective Sherlock Holmes needs all his powers of "elementary" deduction - as well as the staunch support of his devoted friend Dr. Watson - to solve the terrifying mystery of his most famous case...

This atmospheric graphic novel adaptation by Ian Edginton and I.N.J. Culbard - the team behind this series' acclaimed A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Fourand The Valley of Fear- will keep you guessing.

Author description

A.G. Howard was inspired to write SPLINTERED while working at a school library. She always wondered what would've happened had the subtle creepiness of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland taken centre stage, and she hopes her darker and funkier tribute to Carroll will inspire readers to seek out the stories that won her heart as a child. When she's not writing, A.G.'s pastimes are reading, rollerblading, gardening, and family vacations which often include impromptu side trips to 18th century graveyards or condemned schoolhouses to appease her overactive muse.
